Students of Mont Kiara International visiting our school





The "Helping Hands" group in Mont Kiara International School is doing a fun teaching program in our centre every other Friday of the month. Students from their higher classes are involved in this program. The middle classes may also join in soon.

Migrant Sunday Celebration on Sept.5, 2011 in Jesus Caritas Church in Kepong













Our students participated in the Migrant Sunday Celebration on Sept. 25, 2011 in the Jesus Caritas Church in Kepong. They sang “Amazing Grace, the chains are torn” in the mass and performed a few dances during the fellowship after mass. Posters are displayed in the lobby area of the church for the entire month of September to create awareness of sufferings or migrants in our country.

1st Basic IT Skill course started on March 15, 2011 for our Myanmar refugee students

Working in partnership with UNHCR and Hartford Academy Malaysia, an information technology training company with its headoffice in the UK, HELP Community Learning Centre started its first certified Basic IT Skill course in mid March. The 1st batch of 13 students registered for the course. The centre shall continue to provide other certified IT courses namely Web Development, Graphic Design and Trouble Shooting and PC repair course.

Dec. 31, 2010 New Year Eve Party hosted by One Charity A Month Foundation



One Charity A Month Foundation visited our centre with some friends from Singapore and later hosted a New Year Eve Party on Dec, 31, 2010 for all our children in HELP Community Learning Centre.

We believe that all children, irrespective of their status, gender, race, religion and nationality, should be given equal opportunity for education. HELP Community Learning Centre run a school for about 106 Myanmar refugee children from preschool to Year 7. We also provide certified IT Studies courses so that they may be better prepared when they are resettled to foreign countries.
